# Copenhagen Metro Shaft

This photograph was taken in the Copenhagen Metro in June 2023 with a[Nikon D3](<https://bergholt.net/nikon>)from 2007 and a 55mm f/2.8 lens from around 1989, and it was one of my first photos to turn out well, I think, along with a shot of the[Kaktus Towers in Kalvebod Brygge](<https://bergholt.net/kaktus-towers>).

I think the work triggered something nostalgic, which turned into[ICE | July | 1982](<https://bergholt.net/poetry>), inspired on the one hand by William Gibson’s cyberpunk literature from the early 1980s, where black ICE first surfaces in*Burning Chrome*, and on the other by thoughts of archives and archiving, along with more nostalgic work, for example about the[mid 90’s BBS culture in Denmark](<https://bergholt.net/netlock>).
