Kaktus Towers

Kaktus Towers, Kalvebod Brygge, Copenhagen, Denmark. Two highly distinctive buildings designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG).

The towers rise to 100 and 80 metres respectively. Close to 500 balconies, staggered from floor to floor, give these semi-futuristic buildings their ‘Kaktus’ name.

The recent opening of IKEA’s rooftop terrace has made photographs from new angles possible, including ones that isolate softer, more organic forms where the pointed structures of each tower reach towards the other.
