This photograph was taken in the Copenhagen Metro in June 2023 with a Nikon D3 from 2007 and a 55mm f/2.8 lens from around 1989, and it was one of my first photos to turn out well, I think, along with a shot of the Kaktus Towers in Kalvebod Brygge.
I think the work triggered something nostalgic, which turned into ICE | July | 1982, inspired on the one hand by William Gibson’s cyberpunk literature from the early 1980s, where black ICE first surfaces in Burning Chrome, and on the other by thoughts of archives and archiving, along with more nostalgic work, for example about the mid 90’s BBS culture in Denmark.
