The MOCA (Museum of Crypto Art) Fundraiser 2023 was a call for financial support for the museum. More than 700 artists and creators showed their support.
The individual artworks were subsequently combined into in a colorful mosaic intentionally or unintentionally similar to the ‘The Million Dollar Homepage’ that sold screen real estate in 1,000,000 pixels.
My contribution – subsequently titled ‘Vault of the Museum of Crypto Art’ – consists of a photo taken in the in the Copenhagen Metro in June 2023 with aold 17 years Nikon D3 and a vintage 55mm 2.8 lens from around 1989, and, in that manner, the photo seeks to bridge the technology of the past with the technology of the future.
My contribution has been listed on Foundation [here]. Sadly, Foundation closed down operations, including publically facing galleries, on April 26th 2026.
It’s a classic black & white photo to contrast with what I anticipated to be a heavily color-saturated digital works based on AI & CGI.
